    Hi Barry -

I think we corresponded a bit a while back.

Can you tell me more about your DMS software? How extensive is it? built in Access, I presume? Pricing? Source code included?

Any comparisons of it to other commercial “household name” competitors?

    Thanks

    Bob

    Hi Bob,

Yes I remember you. I didn’t know you have a website, visited it today. Thanks for the link to my website.

Basically, DMS was originally designed for Philip Aziz Centre which I basically gave to them. It was geared to track donors and record donations/pledges and print receipts. However, the director of finance at Philip Aziz convinced me that there is need for a low cost donor management system that meets Revenue Canada’s (IRS equivalent) pending regulations for receipt issuance. This is because most if not all donor management systems are make in the US and therefore do not necessarily meet Revenue Canada standards especially the upcoming ones.

I have no timeline on its completion date because it all depends on client load. I don’t really know how much to charge for it.

When I get the current US regulations I would be able to make it print US receipts as well, there would just be a switch in DMS to print US rather than Canadian receipts. Maybe you can tell me where to obtain the US regulations. I would be interested in getting feedback from you about its viability in the US?

    Cheers,
    Barry
